Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager – Royal Canin to own the Salt Lake City territory, driving clinic opportunities and sales growth. This field-based role requires living within the territory and delivering data-driven presentations to veterinary staff.

The candidate will develop territory plans, build relationships with clinic decision-makers, and collaborate cross-functionally to execute the Vet BU strategy. Travel is expected to be 20–30% with occasional conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license with a clean driving record; travel required.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Translate product and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers.
• Deliver data-driven presentations to veterinary staff.
• Collaborate across BU & organization; balance stakeholder needs.
• Execute Veterinary BU sales strategy and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
• Manage budget and reporting; complete CRM and expenses promptly.
