Job summary

BrightView is seeking a Tree Care Services Business Developer to manage the pipeline from prospecting to close across regional territories in California. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration to craft bids and meet sales targets.

This is a proactive, self-starting role with heavy client interaction. You should have 3–5 years of mid-to-senior level B2B sales, plus a Bachelor’s or equivalent and TCIA/Certified Arborist credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• TCIA or Certified Arborist certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of extensive face-to-face B2B selling experience.
• Experience in service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects across large territories.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• CRM/SFA tool experience beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goals in longer selling cycles.
• Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed; local market contacts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services in regional territories.
• Prospect using consultative techniques to build relationships.
• Develop Tree Care programs and estimates with account managers.
• Lead heavy phone prospecting, presentations, and negotiations with supervision.
• Network to grow new Tree Care accounts in targeted markets.
• Meet sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity in Salesforce consistently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive larger sales opportunities.
• Build trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Plan daily activities and close business with urgency.
