Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits in Phoenix seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants across a large territory. You’ll drive customer relationships, sales execution, and supplier program alignment with a growth mindset and a focus on development.

You’ll hire and coach staff, manage budgets, and shape territory plans. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience, plus strong communication and proficiency with MS Word/Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of beverage alcohol products and SGWS portfolio.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of sales consultants; evaluate performance and growth.
• Develop territory sales plans to achieve goals across customer segments.
• Institute regular team meetings to align sales plans with marketing campaigns.
• Coach consultants on pre-plans, visits, opportunities, and territory priorities.
• Coach on building a business pipeline to meet objectives and drive product knowledge.
• Hire, manage, and discipline staff; monitor expenditures and budget alignment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
