Job summary

Hawthorne Cat is seeking a results-oriented professional to influence sales of parts and service for Caterpillar earthmoving equipment. You will build strong customer relationships, develop new business, and communicate campaigns that highlight Hawthorne’s capabilities and value.

The role requires a proactive sales mindset, strong communication, and the ability to forecast growth within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a product support sales and service environment with customer service experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and be a self-starter.
• Organized and a good planner.
• Ability to set and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop assigned accounts and provide parts and service to meet customer needs.
• Develop E-commerce and other business opportunities for all assigned accounts, provide quotes and close sales.
• Extensive knowledge of customer’s territory to forecast growth potential, select target accounts, and identify need for alternative solutions.
• Introduce Hawthorne’s parts and service capabilities to customers and market campaigns that position Hawthorne as the Product Support choice.
• Devise, forecast and create a business plan for assigned territory or customers.
• Make routine sales calls on customers and provide timely and accurate proposals for parts and service.
• Assist customers in selecting programs that maximize life cycle of their equipment.
• Build competitive intelligence by analyzing competitive activity in your territory.
• Coordinate between customers and departments to provide best possible service.
• Maintain customer contact information, sales call reports and weekly call planners.
• Perform any job assigned to meet goals and objectives.
