Job summary

Hawthorne Cat seeks a results‑driven sales professional to influence the sale and service of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment across the San Diego territory. You will build relationships, identify improvements, and implement solutions with customers.

You will expand opportunities, provide quotes, forecast growth, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure top service and value. Strong communication and planning are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a product support environment or related industry with experience in customer service.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and a self-starter.
• Organized and a good planner.
• Ability to set and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop assigned accounts and provide parts and service to meet customer needs.
• Develop business opportunities for all assigned accounts, provide quotes and close sales.
• Forecast growth potential using knowledge of customers and territory.
• Market Hawthorne's parts and service capabilities and campaigns.
• Create a business plan for assigned territory or customers.
• Make routine sales calls and provide timely proposals.
• Assist customers in selecting programs for maximum life cycle of equipment.
• Build competitive intelligence on territory activities.
• Coordinate between customers and departments to ensure best service.
• Maintain customer contact information and weekly call planners.
• Achieve annual growth targets with understanding of book of business.
• Perform other duties to meet company goals.
