Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in Traverse City, MI, seeks an Outside Sales representative to drive lift truck and Crown Insite product sales within a defined territory. You will develop existing accounts, seek new business, and build strong relationships with key personnel across manufacturing and distribution customers.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with up to 2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate lift trucks for product demos.
• Bachelor’s degree or several years of successful sales experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of the entire sales process.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Team-oriented with problem-solving and self-motivation.
• Intermittent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sale of lift trucks and Crown Insite products within a territory.
• Develop existing accounts and seek new business.
• Analyze opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
• Consult and solve problems to strengthen Crown’s position.
• Develop territory management plans to maximize client time.
• Create sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts.
• Prepare product demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and contacts.
• Participate in training programs locally and at headquarters.
