Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative in Kalamazoo, MI to drive growth across our spirits portfolio. You will partner with grocery, convenience, and liquor stores to boost volume and distribution, using data to inform decisions and collaborating with distributors for in-store execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 1 year of field sales in alcohol/CPG, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel in the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG industries; new grads with internship experience ok.
• Results-driven with proven volume achievements and ability to meet distribution/retail goals.
• Technical savvy: ability to use sales data analytics/tools to drive results.
• Mobility: valid driver's license and ability to travel within territory.
• Schedule: flexibility for evenings/weekends.
• Location: live in or near the territory.
• Expenses: capable of covering business expenses with reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute growth strategies for assigned accounts to boost brand volume and share.
• Build brands using consumer/category insights and education of customers.
• Lead distributors with in-store selling, marketing and account execution.
• Help achieve volume objectives for core brands in the portfolio.
• Plan and implement programs delivering distribution, merchandising, and promotions.
• Develop rapport with customers by understanding needs and requirements.
• Coordinate communications between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure achievement of targets.
