Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) in the United States seeks a Full Line Territory Manager to coordinate field sales training and clinical support, traveling up to 80% and relocating as needed. You will work with sales leadership to prioritize customers and training events, while helping develop regional physician proctors and training programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1–2 years sales experience, strong communication and planning skills, and the ability to meet customer access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-2 years general sales experience.
• Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales people.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Good judgment and maturity.
• Willing to relocate to fill an open Full Line Territory Manager position.
• Ability to travel 80%
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD's auto safety standards.
• Criminal background satisfactory to Bard.
• Criminal backgrounds may be monitored annually or as needed.
• Must meet customer/medical facility access requirements, including drug screenings as required.
• Understands needs/analysis approach to sales.
• Understands the product buyer concept.
• Understands contract administration.
• Understands principles of group purchasing to include research and proposal recommendations.
• Basic anatomy and ability to discuss products in relation to the human body.
• Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field sales logistics, timing, duration, strategy and execution of field-level customer training and clinical support.
• Work with sales management to prioritize targeted customers, cases and training events.
• Support development of regional physician proctors for formal and informal training activities.
• Conduct training and in-servicing for hospital surgery staff and support personnel.
• Support development of regional centers of excellence and collaborate with Marketing on physician training seminars.
• Provide support for regional marketing events, conventions and symposia.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
