Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is hiring a field-based medical sales professional to drive territory growth and meet annual sales goals. You will educate surgeons and OR staff on BD products, provide on-site support during procedures, and train hospital staff on product use.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, travel readiness, and the ability to manage multiple accounts while meeting customer needs and BD policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience; medical sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Understanding of product buyer concept and contract administration.
• Willingness to meet customer access requirements and travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Position self as a product specialist and educate surgeons and staff on product use.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure correct product usage.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on BD products and protocols.
• Travel to customers to maintain and grow relationships, attending meetings and tradeshows.
