Job summary

Harper Group, based in Leesburg, VA, is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to grow our Home Fragrance and Accessories sales across Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Metro Maryland.

You will service existing retailers, prospect new business, take orders, merchandise, and close deals while delivering outstanding customer service. A 3+ year outside sales track record and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience.
• Excellent face-to-face selling and closing skills.
• Demonstrated sales accomplishments with a top 20% performance.
• Exceptional communication skills, both face to face and over the phone.
• Proven ability to build new business relationships.
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and growing sales within existing accounts.
• Calling on accounts in the field and prospecting for new business.
• Taking orders and merchandising for retailer accounts within territory.
• Making face-to-face sales and closing deals.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with retail accounts in territory.
• Providing exceptional customer service.
• Maintaining accurate records of contacts and visits using CRM software.
• Acquiring product knowledge through training and competitive analysis.
• Meeting and exceeding sales goals and new account opening metrics.
