Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Retail Territory Manager for Hard and Soft Surface Flooring in the Detroit market.

You will maintain and grow Shaw’s profitability and market share by building strong relationships with flooring dealers, designers and end-users, supporting major market programs, and managing sample placement. Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must reside in the market.
• Must be able to travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards requiring a van or an approved SUV.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
• Present products to retail dealers, designers and end-users; analyze leads provided by corporate reports.
• Sell and construct display racks weighing 50 lbs or more regularly.
• Prospect for viable new accounts while understanding local market dynamics.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and sales volumes, highlighting opportunities and targets.
• Prepare periodic sales reports with actuals vs goals and competitive market conditions.
