Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Cleveland is seeking a Territory Manager for Carpet Soft Surface Flooring to grow Shaw’s profitability and market share through dealer relationships built on service, trust and integrity.

You will conduct daily sales calls, present Shaw’s products to dealers, designers and end-users, build displays, and manage samples. This role requires travel within the market, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining accurate Salesforce.com records.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience.
• Completion of the Shaw sales trainee program can be substituted for experience.
• Must reside in the market.
• Must be able to travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards requiring a van or an approved SUV.
• Ability to lift samples and build displays, up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings.
• Proven experience using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on the sale hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
• Present products to the retail dealers, designers and end-users as well as analyze all leads provided by corporate reports.
• Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more on a regular basis.
• Continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing a keen awareness of what is happening within their designated geographic area.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
• Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions and product needs.
• Analyze sales statistics by reviewing computer reports specific to his/her territory to aid in formulating goals and to assist dealers in promoting sales.
• Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com
• Responsible for selling and promoting all residential products including Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and Philly Commercial and educating customers on these products.
