Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Workers Compensation Division. The role focuses on developing territory plans across MI, OH, IN, Western PA, and KY, while partnering with agents and underwriting to drive profitable growth.

The position requires travel within the territory, strong relationship skills, and experience in workers compensation. This is a full-time role offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities to influence market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in workers compensation insurance (Mid-Level), seven (7) years for Senior-Level.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing and presenting business information; capable of travel planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory plans and travel schedules aligned with regional resources.
• Position BHHC as market of choice with agents and target markets; pursue agency appointments and book transfers.
• Monitor agency growth, identify performance gaps, and drive profitable growth plans.
• Lead agency partnerships toward minimum premium standards and growth goals.
• Conduct in-person agency visits, prospect meetings, and stewardship activities.
• Educate agents on BHHC value propositions and service model.
