Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies is looking for a Business Development Manager for their Eastern Marketing team. This position demands frequent travel within New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New England to develop brand strategy and support profitable growth.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of experience in the workers compensation insurance sector, preferably in marketing or underwriting roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in the workers compensation insurance industry.
• Preferably experience in a Marketing or Underwriting role.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute territory plans demonstrating understanding of market.
• Proactively search for new agency appointments and opportunities.
• Monitor agency growth and profitability.
• Conduct in-person agency visits and participate in prospect meetings.
• Influence partnerships by educating agents on BHHC’s value proposition.
• Gather competitor information and develop action plans.
