Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive territory growth across MI, OH, IN, Western PA and KY. You will collaborate with Underwriting and other teams to expand agency relationships and profitable production.

The role emphasizes strategic market development, agency partnerships, and ongoing performance evaluation to ensure client satisfaction and growth. Requires 5+ years in workers' compensation and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry, preferably in a Marketing or Underwriting role.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes territory plans with travel as needed.
• Position BHHC as the market of choice with agents and target markets.
• Monitor agency growth and profitability; develop profit improvement plans.
• Manage agency partnerships to meet premium growth goals and renewal strategy discussions.
• Conduct in-person agency visits and prospect meetings to win new business.
• Educate agents on BHHC’s value proposition and service model.
