Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies - Workers Compensation Division in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Business Development Manager to lead territory growth across New York, New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania and New England. You’ll develop plans, build agency partnerships, and position BHHC as the market of choice through targeted marketing and underwriting collaboration.

The role requires travel within the territory, strong relationship building, and the ability to translate competitive intelligence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry, preferably in a Marketing or Underwriting role.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes territory plans with travel in mind.
• Position BHHC as the market of choice with agents and target markets.
• Monitor agency growth and profitability; develop improvement plans.
• Manage agency partnerships and renewal strategy discussions.
• Conduct in-person agency visits and prospect meetings; coordinate with Underwriting and Loss Control.
