Job summary

TenCate is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new revenue in the sports construction market. You will manage the full sales lifecycle, pursue opportunities in synthetic turf, athletic facilities, and related solutions, and collaborate with estimating, operations, marketing, and leadership to deliver compelling, ROI-focused proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience selling in the sports market (synthetic turf, athletic facilities, or related construction).
• Proven ability to develop and close new business in a geographic territory.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ROI-focused sales discussions and value-based selling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow business within an assigned geographic territory with pipeline and revenue accountability.
• Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new projects across sports construction and related solutions.
• Build relationships with schools, universities, municipalities, architects, and facility owners.
• Conduct in-person sales calls, site visits, and customer meetings.
• Manage the sales lifecycle from prospecting to award and transition to project execution.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Operations, Marketing, and leadership to craft competitive solutions.
• Travel extensively within the territory to support opportunities.
