Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow a specialized market. You will develop new prospects, maintain active customer relationships, and routinely visit customers at their business sites or other off-site locations.

You will work toward meeting or exceeding the annual gross margin budget while promoting products in your territory, handling complaints, and staying informed about competitors and market trends. Travel is extensive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales and marketing.
• Strong negotiation and persuasive skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in the assigned territory.
• Develop new prospects and maintain contact with established customers; visit them on-site or off-site.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales programs, suggest new items for stock, and assist in collections as needed.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings; demonstrate products after sale.
