Job summary
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer I to promote and grow sales of its analytical instrumentation portfolio across a defined territory. This non-remote role requires frequent customer site visits and strong technical product guidance.
The position emphasizes consultative sales, account planning, and collaboration with lab teams to deliver technical solutions, with generous benefits and a compensation plan including base salary and commissions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life science; Chemistry strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments (GC/HPLC, GCMS/LCMS).
- Strong technical aptitude to understand instrumentation and workflows.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites approximately 80% of the time.
- Valid driver's license required.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Provide consultative support and product guidance to customers.
