Job summary
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer I to promote and grow sales of analytical instrumentation across a defined territory. The role requires a life science background, a proven sales track record with analytical instruments, and the ability to travel up to 80% to customer sites.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience with analytical instruments
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand instrumentation workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
- Provide consultative product guidance and deliver technical presentations
- Represent Shimadzu at trade shows and industry events
- Collaborate with field application specialists and lab teams to deliver technical solutions
- Generate quotes, negotiate terms, and manage the closing process
