Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to promote and grow sales of its analytical instrumentation portfolio within a defined territory. You will act as a consultative technical sales expert and own the territory to deliver year-over-year growth.

This role requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on customer engagement, and frequent site visits in the assigned territory. A Bachelor's degree in a life science is required, with travel about 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science; Chemistry strongly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience with relevant analytical instruments
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand instrumentation and workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Deliver consultative support and product guidance to customers.
• Coordinate with field application specialists and lab teams to deliver technical solutions.
