Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a highly motivated Field Sales Engineer II to join our team. This field-based role promotes and grows sales of Shimadzu's analytical instrumentation portfolio within a defined territory, taking ownership and developing the market for sustainable growth.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, extensive travel (approximately 80%), and the ability to deliver consultative sales and product guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science; chemistry strongly preferred
• Minimum of 6 years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments
• Strong technical aptitude with instrumentation and workflows
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel ~80% and valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
• Provide consultative support and product guidance to customers
• Deliver technical presentations and represent Shimadzu at trade shows
• Collaborate with field application specialists and lab teams to deliver solutions
• Generate quotes and manage the closing process
