Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Regional Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth within the U.S. Independent Eye Care Professional channel.

You will source, develop, and cultivate new clients among optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical specialists, using consultative selling to promote ZEISS products and practice-based solutions. You will manage territory plans, execute account-specific programs, and document activity in Salesforce.com.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a B2B sales environment; Rx sales, optical, medical device or retail operations with Fortune 500 companies preferred.
• Strong sales focus with ability to move opportunities through the sales cycle; provide detailed forecasts using CRM.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; ability to influence customers.
• ABO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales growth targets for Direct Rx and other programs.
• Use Salesforce.com to identify key targets and increase territory sales.
• Profile stores and develop value-based sales strategies based on financial data.
• Lead sales conversations with ECPs; persuade and close deals.
• Schedule and conduct on-site trainings and seminars to promote Carl Zeiss Vision labs.
• Prepare timely expense reports and manage travel costs.
