Job summary

ZEISS Group in Philadelphia is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth in Direct Rx and the assigned U.S. Eye Care Professional channel.

You will source, develop and cultivate new clients—optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians and other optical specialists—promoting Carl Zeiss Vision products and recording activity in Salesforce. The role requires field-based B2B sales with strong prospecting, planning and coaching skills, plus a commitment to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in B2B sales, preferably Rx/optical or medical devices.
• Strong sales focus with ability to forecast and close deals.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• ABO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales growth targets for Direct Rx and allied programs.
• Identify targets and use Salesforce.com to grow territory sales.
• Profile stores and create value-based sales strategies.
• Lead pre-call planning and handle objections as a trusted advisor.
• Close deals and build partner relationships with ECPs.
• Contribute to national marketing plans and regional programs.
• Plan and conduct on-site training and educational seminars.
• Prepare timely expense reports and maintain ethical standards.
