Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to grow the independent eye care professional (ECP) channel across the assigned U.S. territory.

You will source, develop and manage relationships with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical specialists to promote ZEISS products and solutions using consultative selling approaches. You will document activity in Salesforce and plan quarterly business reviews with sales leadership to evaluate performance against

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a successful B2B sales environment, preferably Rx/optical/medical device or Fortune 500 company
• In lieu of outside sales experience, 5+ years of optical sales is acceptable
• Strong sales focus with ability to move opportunities through the sales cycle and provide accurate forecasts

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales growth targets for Direct Rx business and other strategic targets
• Utilize Salesforce.com to identify key customer targets and increase territory sales
• Profile and evaluate each customer’s store operation, financial data and profit drivers to create value-based sales strategies
• Lead sales conversations with ECPs and close deals
• Input accurate and timely reports via Salesforce.com
• Prepare and submit timely expense reports
