Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sales Consultant in Iowa to grow market share within an assigned territory.

The role emphasizes pre-sale activities like prospecting and lead generation, customer presentations, and guiding buyers, with post-sale project management to ensure seamless builds. You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and permitting, while maintaining a strong sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• 2 years sales or account management experience preferred or 5 years construction management experience
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or project management preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of maintaining an accurate and organized sales pipeline within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Minimal overnight travel required beyond initial training and onboarding period
• Ability to develop and maintain an adequate sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets
• Aptitude to grow existing market share and be readily available during construction related work hours
• Coordinate all individuals involved in the building project including MBI personnel, hire and manage subcontractors, and navigate permitting requirements
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
• Displays excellent verbal and written communication along with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem‑solving skills
• Must reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire date

Responsibilities

• Prospect, lead generation, customer presentations, solution development, and guiding customers through the early stages of the buying process
• Coordinate post-sale project management and communicate with internal teams to support builds through to completion
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and manage territory growth to meet sales budgets
