Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies in Workers Compensation seeks a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. This role analyzes production patterns and opportunities, partnering with underwriting and corporate resources to expand agency relationships and improve customer experience.

Frequent travel is required. A Bachelor’s degree and five years in workers’ compensation are expected; seven+ years for senior level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum five years in workers' compensation insurance; seven+ for senior level.
• Experience in marketing or underwriting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute territory plans across specified states with travel.
• Position BHHC as a market of choice with agents and target markets.
• Develop agency production sources and monitor profitability and growth.
• Lead renewal strategy discussions and ensure mutually profitable relationships.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Client Services and Loss Control teams.
