Job summary

Thompson Safety in Annapolis, MD, is seeking an Account Executive to drive new business within a defined territory. You will cold-call, generate leads, and build a robust pipeline while documenting everything in CRM for accurate results.

You will also schedule appointments, maintain prospect relationships, and support marketing programs. A four-year degree or equivalent sales success in safety is expected, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent sales experience.
• Familiar with codes, product attributes, and procedures in the safety field.
• General understanding of business, finances, sales, and safety principles.
• Strong ability to use technology to drive new business activity.
• Able to prospect in-person and by phone, build rapport, and close deals.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.
• Uses CRM to document activity and track results.
• Maintains contact with prospects via in-person sales calls and phone blocks.
• Develops appointments through territory prospecting and phone block sessions.
• Supports company marketing programs and initiatives as needed.
• Benchmarks top performers to replicate best practices.
• Consistently secures new business within the assigned territory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
