Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking an Account Executive in the Pittsburgh area to drive new business development within an assigned territory. You will build your territory to maximize company growth, using in-person and phone outreach to generate leads and appointments.

You will document activity in CRM, develop a robust pipeline, and collaborate with marketing on programs to support sales. A four-year degree and sales mindset are required, with a valid driver’s license and background check ability.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required.
• Familiar with codes, products and procedures in the safety field.
• General awareness of business, financials, sales and safety principles.
• Strong ability to prospect in-person and over the phone and close business.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to pass a drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Company in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.
• Utilizes CRM technology to document activity and track results.
• Maintains contact with prospects through in-person sales calls and phone block.
• Develops new appointments through prospecting in territory and scheduled phone block sessions to ensure activity and pipeline meet required standards for tenure.
• Assists in Company marketing programs/initiatives, as needed
• Observes and benchmarks other Account Executives to establish and replicate best practices.
• Consistently installs new business within assigned territory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
