Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a Telecommunication Technician 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will install telecommunications cabling and equipment, follow plans and codes, and support complex projects across healthcare, government, higher education, and mission critical facilities. The role requires 4+ years of related experience, BICSI Installer 1 copper, and an ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.

Qualifications

Requires ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
4+ years of telecommunications experience overseeing and installing OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling across diverse markets.
BICSI Installer 1 copper certification; fiber certifications preferred.
Experience in federal/government facilities, healthcare, higher-education, and mission-critical environments.
Ability to pass a basic telecommunications knowledge test; ability to read and understand plans/specifications.

Responsibilities

Install communications cabling and equipment per plans, specs, codes, and standards.
Gain knowledge of Telecommunication Systems including OSP/ISP, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling.
Work toward becoming a qualified BICSI Technician.
Support complex scopes in healthcare, government, higher-education, and mission-critical industries.
Travel up to 75%.
