Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in building intelligence, seeks a Telecommunications Technician 2 in Aurora, CO with 75% travel.

You will install communications cabling and equipment, read plans, and work with OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling in complex facilities. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in telecom installation, a BICSI Installer 1 copper certification, fiber certifications, and the ability to pass a telecom knowledge test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of telecommunications experience focusing on OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling in diverse construction environments.
• BICSI Installer 1 copper certification required; additional BICSI certification preferred.
• Fiber certification and manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Experience installing telecommunications systems in Federal & Government facilities, healthcare, higher-education, and mission-critical environments.
• Ability to pass a basic telecom knowledge test.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install communications cabling and equipment per plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Operate hand and power tools to install basic telecom equipment.
• Develop knowledge of OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling across projects.
• Pursue qualification as a BICSI Technician.
• Support healthcare, government, higher-education, and mission-critical projects.
• Travel 75% as required.
