Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

The candidate will install communications cabling and equipment, gain knowledge of OSP/ISP, CCTV, DAS, and fiber systems, and work toward BICSI certification. Travel up to 75% and eligibility for security clearance are required. Qualified applicants have a High School Diploma or GED, 6+ years in telecom with relevant certifications, and the ability to read plans and work with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6+ years of telecommunications experience in oversight and installation of OSP & ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber optic & structured cabling.
• Requires BICSI Installer 1 copper certification at minimum.
• Must pass basic telecommunications knowledge test.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a Polygraph is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Install communications cabling and equipment in accordance with plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Gain understanding of Telecommunication Systems including OSP & ISP Copper, CCTV, DAS, Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling.
• Strive to become a qualified BICSI Technician.
• Support complex scopes for Healthcare, Government, Higher-Education, Federal Aviation (Preferred) & Mission Critical industries.
• Travel 75% as required.
