Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 2 to join its Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in the Chantilly area.

The role focuses on installing and maintaining low‑voltage telecom systems across federal, local, and commercial projects, with heavy travel requirements. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of telecom installation experience, a BICSI certification, and the ability to read plans and work safely on complex sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BICSI Installer 1 copper certification minimum.
• BICSI certification preferred.
• Fiber certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install telecommunications cabling and equipment according to plans and codes.
• Gain knowledge of Telecom Systems including Copper, CCTV, DAS, Fiber Optic, and Structured Cabling.
• Aiming to become a qualified BICSI Technician.
• Support complex scopes in Healthcare, Government, Higher-Education, Federal Aviation and Mission Critical markets.
• Travel 75% to job sites.
