Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence®, seeks a Telecommunication Technician 2 to install communications cabling and equipment per plans, read blueprints, and support complex projects across federal, healthcare, education, and commercial facilities.

Responsibilities include installing OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling; pursuing BICSI certifications; and leading field teams while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma OR GED.
• Minimum 4+ years of Telecommunications experience in overseeing and installing OSP/ISP Copper, CCTV, DAS, Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling.
• BICSI Installer Level 1 copper certification or higher.
• Fiber certification and/or manufacture certifications preferred.
• Experience in federal/government, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to pass a basic telecommunications knowledge test.
• Strong leadership for field-project teams.

Responsibilities

• Install communications cabling and equipment per plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Develop understanding of Telecommunication Systems including OSP/ISP Copper, CCTV, DAS, Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling.
• Lead and support field-project teams, ensuring safety and quality.
• Maintain documentation and ensure cables are properly dressed and terminated.
