Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is seeking an Advance Technician to install and repair equipment, troubleshoot networks, and support customers. The role offers a clear career path with opportunities to grow and learn within a dynamic telecom environment.

Responsibilities include reading network maps, performing tests with specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with FCC/NEC/NESC/OSHA/DOT regulations. A driving license is required and weekend/on-call work may be needed.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate or 3–4 years related experience.
• Must complete Sparklight Technical Training Center Advanced Technician course within 6 months of accepting position.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in Headend, HFC and fiber optic networks.
• Repair customer-owned equipment and plant performance issues.
• Read and interpret system/network design maps; verify as-built documentation.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber cables; mount devices; test to design specs.
• Perform underground facility locates and prevent cable damage.
