Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is seeking Advance Technicians to perform new customer installations, repair equipment, and troubleshoot networks. You will follow Company standards to ensure high-quality connectivity for residential and business customers.

You will read maps, interpret documentation, splice/coax and fiber, and maintain plant performance across headend, HFC, and fiber segments. Strong diagnostic skills and field readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to four years related experience and/or training.
• Knowledgeable of regulatory rules (FCC, NEC, NESC, OSHA, DOT) and local ordinances.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high level service by troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions in the Headend, HFC and fiber optic networks.
• Repair customer-owned equipment and assist with plant performance issues.
• Read and interpret system/network design maps; verify as-built documentation.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber optics, mount devices, test for performance per specs.
• Create maps/drawings to assist in estimating costs for plant/drop extensions.
• Perform underground facility locates to prevent cable damage and service interruptions.
• Monitor plant for signal leakage ride-out and train personnel as directed.
