Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, seeks an Advance Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot customer services across HFC and fiber networks. You will use test equipment to diagnose issues, read design maps, and ensure compliant documentation. Training is provided and there is a clear career path for growth.

Role requires field readiness, flexibility for on-call shifts, and the ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays. Company-wide benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–4 years related experience.
• Outgoing, with strong problem-solving aptitude and customer focus.
• Ability to read system maps and follow company testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and troubleshoot customer equipment and services.
• Diagnose malfunctions in HFC and fiber networks using test gear.
• Read maps, verify As-Built documentation, and report findings.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber, activate devices, test performance.
• Support plant maintenance and respond to service outages as needed.
• Train junior technicians as directed by management.
