Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, seeks an Advance Technician to install new customer services, repair equipment, and troubleshoot across HFC and fiber networks. You will read maps, verify documentation, and ensure service quality while following company standards and procedures.

The role requires a 1‑year certificate or 3–4 years related experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent
• Three to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must complete Sparklight Advanced Technician training within 6 months of hire
• Valid driver’s license for the state of employment
• Ability to work variable schedule and respond to outages including overtime, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Install new customer services and repair equipment in homes and business locations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in HFC and fiber optic networks
• Read and interpret system and design maps; verify as-built documentation
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber optic cables; mount devices in aerial or underground plant
• Perform plant surveys to assess location capacity and assist in cost estimating for extensions
• Conduct underground facility locates and participate in restoration work when needed
• Train system personnel as directed by local management
