Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is seeking Advance Technicians to install, repair, and troubleshoot complex network equipment including HFC and fiber systems. You will work in field environments, read design maps, and ensure service quality while advancing through a structured career path.

The role requires knowledge of test equipment, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed in a dynamic telecommunications setting.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to four years related experience and/or training.
• Must successfully complete Sparklight Technical Training Center Advanced Technician course within 6 months of accepting position.
• Working knowledge of test equipment and its safe operation.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
• Ability to work a variable schedule and respond to service interruptions, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install new customer services and repair equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in HFC and fiber networks, and in home terminals.
• Read and interpret system/network design maps; verify as-built documentation against field findings.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber-optic cables and activate devices per design specs.
• Perform underground facility locate work to prevent damage and ensure safe installations.
• Provide training to system technical personnel as directed by local management.
