Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of MACD on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment, while supporting customer optical, electrical, voice and data services.

The role emphasizes on-site work, client trust, and a best-in-class service ethos. Travel with company vehicle is expected, and safety standards must be followed in all environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude enabling de-escalation and professional interactions.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
