Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician in Omaha to perform MACD, installation, repair, and testing on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment. You will test circuits with OTDRs and support voice, data, and optical services.

The role emphasizes trusted client relationships, safety, and on-site execution with the ability to work independently in a dynamic field environment. Travel with company vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
