Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Field Operations Technician to perform restoration, maintenance, and installation of telecom services across North America, with emphasis on customer service and safety. The role includes MACD activities on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment, plus testing of circuits using OTDR tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Strong customer-focused approach and ability to handle challenging situations with integrity and empathy.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times.
