Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Field Operations Technician to perform MACD activities, installation, repair, and testing on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment. You will work in customer environments, ensuring high-quality service and safety standards while supporting fiber, copper, and data circuits.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom or related fields, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting, with travel in a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de‑escalation techniques
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
