Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to install, repair, configure, and test MACD services across various equipment, including Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena.

You will support optical, electrical, voice and data services while maintaining safety standards and delivering reliable customer service in a dynamic field role. The position requires hands-on installation and repair work, independent field experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de‑escalation techniques
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
