Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in Montgomery, AL is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of MACD on Nokia, Infinera and Ciena equipment, and to support optical, electrical, voice and data services.

You will travel with a company vehicle, handle on-site cabling, testing with OTDR, and deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused service while adhering to Ledcor safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de‑escalation techniques
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
