Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks a Field Operations Technician to install, restore and test internet services and related cabling. You will perform MACD tasks on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena gear, and support optical, electrical, voice and data services while ensuring safety and client trust.

Travel with a company vehicle is required; you will work in varying conditions, in the field, delivering high-quality service, diagnosing issues, and implementing durable solutions for North American networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in telecommunications, business installation and service.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times.
