Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects across North America. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance.

Expect travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites; provide mentorship and address client needs. The role requires 3–5 years in Telecommunications Construction Supervision, knowledge of fiber/wireline construction, and strong planning and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Monitor financial aspects; report and track progress.
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team; mentor staff.
