Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead large-scale long-haul ILA installations nationwide. You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, monitor performance, anticipate client needs, and mentor colleagues.

You will drive project schedules, quality plans, and safety programs while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers on resource allocation and negotiations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or similar
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction a plus
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff
