Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects. You will manage day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, monitor performance, anticipate client needs, share expertise, and mentor staff.

Candidate should bring 3–5 years in telecom construction supervision, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of schedules, finances, and safety programs across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations.
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules.
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project.
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team.
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff.
