Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects across North America. You will manage day-to-day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance while anticipating client needs and mentoring colleagues.

You will lead safety programs, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure adherence to plans, codes, and schedules.

Qualifications

Three to five years of experience in Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or similar.
Knowledge of underground fiber installation and civil or wireless construction is a plus.
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specs and practices.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
Problem-solving abilities and proactive issue resolution.
Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications and building codes.
Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee investigations.
Review and update construction schedules; address delays and contribute to schedules.
Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
Monitor financial aspects of the project and reporting.
Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
Set priorities and allocate resources for the field team.
Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff.
